In what was easily the fight of the night, and the only bout to go the distance Lynae Lovato took on tenacious opponent Nikki Lowe. Both ladies threw heavy combinations but it was Lovato’s takedowns and ground control that earned her a unanimous decision.
Later in the evening FIT/NHB’s Gerald Sedillo entered the cage to a thunderous applause to take on NY fighter Pat Murphy. Murphy landed a solid punch to open the frame but it was all Sedillo from there. After defending a tight armbar Murphy gave up his back to Sedillo who flattened him out and cinched in a Rear naked choke for the tap.
In the Co-main Chavez Dojo Fighter Antonio Zamora bullied Siege MMA’s Shannon Ritch from the opening bell. Ritch, who has fought around the world and has taken on MMA legends such as Sakuraba and Severn was no match for the younger Zamora who quickly took his back and finished him via RNC at 1:17 of the first round. In the main event Siege MMA’s Jeff Paulson sought revenge for his team mate against Alamogordo’s Brad Nordquist. Paulson took Nordquist down quickly and landed in a guillotine choke. Signaling with a thumbs up to referee Richard Espinosa that he was okay in the choke Paulson began peppering Nordquist with punches to the ribs and elbows to the thigh. Once he got his head free Paulson postured up and ground and pounded Nordquist who, feeling an injury to his eye tapped due to strikes midway through the first. The full results were, Winners first:Bout 1: Jordan Espinosa TKO 1:00 Rd 1 over Ronnie WhiteBout 2: Steve Lovato TKO 2:47 Rd 1 over JB ChavezBout 3: Cleodis Depree TKO 1:28 Rd 1 over Mike BeckBout 4: Russell Wilson TKO :32 Rd 1 over Art SalcidoBout 5: Joby Sanchez TKO 1:50 Rd 1 over John McCarthyBout 6: Lynae Lovato U/D over Nikki LoweBout 7: Matt Madrid Sub.
